Switching from Wix Bookings to Holder

Wix keeps a real contacts list with subscription status attached, and a separate booking-data export for history — two clean files, as long as you're the site owner.

What comes with you

• Clients: yes, from the Contacts export.
• Consent status: yes, in principle. The export includes an email subscription status column. See the import step below for how to turn that into consent Holder will actually act on.
• History: yes, from a separate booking-data export.

Export from Wix Bookings

1. Go to Contacts > Import / Export > Export, choose All Contacts, then Regular CSV
2. For history, go to Booking Calendar > Manage > Export booking data > Booking List, and set the date range

Watch for: only the site owner can export contacts, and each export is limited to 50,000 contacts — run it in batches if your list is larger.

Import to Holder

• Upload the contacts CSV as it downloaded. Date and phone formats are normalised on import
• Read the column mapping check before anything is written
• For consent: filter the contacts export down to the people marked subscribed, upload that as its own file, and tick the box confirming they agreed to marketing when you import it. Holder doesn't read consent out of a column automatically — this is what makes it count
• Duplicates are flagged side by side

What Holder rebuilds rather than imports

• Booking pages, session types, availability, packs
• Under an hour, by hand

What doesn't come with you

• Site content, forms and design. These stay with Wix. Rebuild what matters
• Payments. These stay with your payment processor
• Zoom. No integration transfers. In Holder you paste your own link on a session, one session at a time

The last step

• Repoint the booking link: website, bio, email signature, anywhere it appears
• Take a test booking as a client and check the confirmation lands
• Keep Wix Bookings live until the last booking made in it has happened

Deep history imports are a paid one-off service, not part of a trial or a plan. If you want one, send us your export before you start a trial: we'll quote you for it, and tell you honestly what will and won't come with you either way.
