SimplyBook.me exports properly, from a reports screen where you choose your own columns. It is also the one scheduler in this set that records something close to marketing consent, which changes what you can do on the other side.
What comes with you
- Clients: yes. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and any client fields you set up.
- Consent status: partly. SimplyBook.me tracks whether each client is subscribed to promotional messages, and that flag comes across as consent. Read the caution below before you rely on it.
- History: not in the standard import. Bookings export separately. Moving them into Holder as a real record is a one-off we do for you.
Export from SimplyBook.me
Your client list:
- Reports > Client report
- Set the filters to cover everyone, then choose the columns you want in the export — include the promotional subscription status
- Export to CSV or Excel
Your bookings, if you want the history:
- Reports > Booking details
- Set the date range back to your first ever booking, leave the provider and service filters open, and choose your columns
- Export to CSV or Excel
The caution on consent: SimplyBook.me marks clients you imported from a CSV as unsubscribed from promotional messages by default. So if your list arrived by import rather than by people booking, the flag records what the system did, not what your clients chose. If that describes you, treat the whole list as having no consent and re-permission it properly.
Import to Holder
- Upload the client CSV as it downloaded. Date and phone formats are normalised on import
- Read the column mapping check, and map the promotional subscription column deliberately — this is the one that carries consent
- Duplicates are flagged side by side with a merge view. Where two records disagree about opting out, the more restrictive one wins
- Anyone marked unsubscribed goes onto the suppression list, which is permanent and checked at every send
What Holder rebuilds rather than imports
- Booking pages, session types, availability, packs
- Under an hour, by hand. Your services become session types, your providers and schedules become availability
What doesn't come with you
- Custom features. SimplyBook.me is built out of toggled features, and none of that configuration transfers. Note down which ones you actually use before you close the account
- Memberships, coupons and gift cards. Outstanding ones need honouring by hand
- Reviews. Copy across anything you want to use as a testimonial while you still can
- SMS credits. Any balance stays with SimplyBook.me and is not refundable
- Zoom. No integration transfers. In Holder you paste your own link on a session, one session at a time
The last step
- Repoint the booking link: website, bio, email signature, anywhere it appears
- Take a test booking as a client and check the confirmation lands
- Keep SimplyBook.me live until the last booking made in it has happened
