Switching from Luma to Holder

Luma's People list downloads in one go, but it isn't a consent list — Luma adds every registrant automatically, and anyone who's unsubscribed can't be exported at all.

What comes with you

• People: yes, from your calendar's People list.
• Consent: no. Luma adds every registrant to People automatically, which is not the same as marketing consent. Everyone arrives with none recorded.
• History: partly, per event, via each event's Guests export.

Export from Luma

1. Go to your calendar's Manage page, then the People tab
2. Click Download CSV, and confirm with the code Luma emails you
3. For one event's guests and their answers, go to that event's Manage > Guests > Download CSV

Watch for: people who unsubscribed from your calendar can't be exported at all — there's no way to bring across who opted out, so treat anyone not in the export with caution rather than assuming they're simply missing by accident.

Import to Holder

• Upload the CSV as it downloaded. Date and phone formats are normalised on import
• Read the column mapping check before anything is written
• Duplicates are flagged side by side with a merge view

What Holder rebuilds rather than imports

• Booking pages, session types, availability, packs
• Event and calendar pages, rebuilt as sessions
• Under an hour, by hand

What doesn't come with you

• Marketing consent. Registering for an event isn't permission to email someone. Decide who you actually have permission to email
• Calendar page design. No export exists. Rebuild deliberately
• Payments. These stay with your payment processor
• Zoom. No integration transfers. In Holder you paste your own link on a session, one session at a time

The last step

• Repoint your booking link everywhere it appears
• Take a test booking as a client and check the confirmation lands
• Keep Luma running until the last event on it has happened

Deep history imports are a paid one-off service, not part of a trial or a plan. If you want one, send us your export before you start a trial: we'll quote you for it, and tell you honestly what will and won't come with you either way.
